East Anglian Potato Day

SAT10TH FEB 2018
9.30am – 1.30pm

£1.50 at the gate

The East Anglia Potato Day is an annual event that has been established since 1996.

It is one of the few events in the country dedicated to the humble potato, a mainstay of the British diet and very much part of our cultural heritage.

Organised and run entirely by volunteers from the Suffolk, Ipswich and Norfolk organic gardeners’ groups, the event attracts hundreds of people from all over East Anglia, eager to explore trade and craft stands, sample local food and take part in activities like chip tasting and seed potato swaps.

We attract a lot of young families, as well as older people, it is always nice to see the younger generation that are coming up with an interest in horticulture.

Last year we had more than 700 visitors!!

People were queuing from as early as 8.30am – some to get their seed potatoes for the rest of the year.

This year there will be over 80+ varieties with approximately 25% of them produced organically.

Seed potatoes are sold per tuber.
